A tourist was blocked on a country road by annoyed residents this morning as the coronavirus lockdown continues.
The incident occurred in Bala, North Wales, earlier today after residents spotted a Range Rover and trailer on a country road during the Covid-19 epidemic .
A video of the incident shows the Sheffield visitor trapped in his car as a white pickup truck blocks him in front and another vehicle is behind him.
The footage shows the driver shouted at by an angry local, who asked him, “What the hell are you doing here, you don’t have a TV or radio.”
Police and a guard from Snowdonia National Park visited the site after being alerted by the visitor who was asked to return home – reports North Wales Live.
Aled Wyn Williams, of Parc, Bala, was one of two local men who confronted the visitor at a time when people were asked to stay at home to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
Mr. Williams stated that he was irritated by the disrespect shown by the visitor and stopped him on the road with his friend Oswyn Roberts.
Williams said: “He was walking away from Bala and the main road.
“I drove along the road and stopped it. My friend Oswyn Roberts came behind, blocking it.”
The tourist called the police because he “felt threatened,” according to Williams.
A North Wales police spokesman said: “Police were called this morning at 10.12 am to report that a man was stranded on a country road in Bala.
“Officers attended and appropriate advice was given.”
