Tottenham are close to signing Sporting Lisbon defender Pedro Porro, according to talkSPORT.
Porro has a release clause in his contract with the Portuguese side which is worth £40million and Spurs are said to be ready to stick to it.

And they could bring in Lamptey, who has struggled for time at Brighton this season, as a replacement for Porro
Antonio Conte has made signing a right-back his top priority this transfer window.
Porro joined Sporting from Manchester City in 2021 after failing to make a first-team appearance for the Premier League champions.
Since then, the right-back has made 97 appearances for the club, scoring 12 goals and picking up 20 assists along the way.

The full-back could move before the end of the January transfer window
Chelsea are also keen on the player, but it looks like Tottenham are leading the hunt to secure a deal.
It remains to be seen what this means for Matt Doherty, Emerson Royal and Djed Spence, all of whom are currently part of Conte’s first team and can play at right-back.
This will make the Portuguese side short at full-back and The Athletic report that they have asked Brighton about Tariq Lamptey.
Sporting are reportedly looking to bring in Lamptey until the end of the season for the Ghana international, who has made just one Premier League start this term.
