3D artist Lorenzo Dominesco has shared a video, featuring Angelina Jolie from Tomb Raider: Lara Croft in Unreal Engine 5. This video shows what artists can achieve with Epic’s latest engine, and the end result is everything simply stunning.
In order to create this character model, Lorenzo used Zbrush and 3dsmax. For texturing, he used painter and husband substances. And finally, for the hair, the artist used Xgen de maya.
He’s one of the most realistic characters we’ve ever seen and even surpasses those used in the Matrix Awakens demo. And, to be honest, I can’t imagine current-gen games having such detailed characters. It’s more like a next-gen character. Interestingly enough, the next Tomb Raider game (to be released on current-gen platforms) will use Unreal Engine 5. As such, it will be interesting to see if Crystal Dynamics will be able to match its quality.
Speaking of Unreal Engine 5, we also suggest you take a look at the following videos. Right now, you can download a UE5 Superman Demo, a Halo 3: ODST Remake, and a UE 5 Spider-Man Demo. Additionally, these videos show off Resident Evil, Star Wars KOTOR, and Counter-Strike Global Offensive in UE5. Additionally, you can find Portal Remake and NFS3 Remake. And finally, here is Half Life 2 Fan Remake, World of Warcraft remake, Skyrim Remake, GTA San Andreas Remake, Doom 3 Remake, Zelda Ocarina of Time Remake, God of War Remake and GTA IV Remake.
Enjoy!
