Sunday might need to be Tom Hanks massive night at the 2020 Golden Globes, but his son Chet has definitely stolen the nail – on social media, at least.
The 29-year-old posted a video of himself on the crimson carpet on Instagram, talking to what seemed like dialect to his 74,000 subscribers.
“BIG UP FIMI THE WHOLE FAMILY COM SOON TO DI AWARDS NA SEEN UNE ? ? CHUNE IN,” Chet captioned the video.
While mother Rita Wilson commented, “Perhaps one of the best snickers of the night,” Twitterverse wasn’t sure what to do with the clip.
“Why do I see a video on my TL of Chet Hanks speaking in dialect?” a consumer contemplated.
“Chet Hanks speaking dialect must be probably the most random and funniest problem I have ever seen,” said another. replied.
“Chet Hank speaks dialect is a problem in the matrix”, a fan tweeted.
“Guys, we (of a certain age) know that Chet Hanks used to rap. We also don’t know why he talks about dialect “, another consumer published.
Chet, who rapped under the title Chet Haze, also documented elements of the present on his Instagram story, as well as a selfie with dad Tom, 63, recipient of the distinguished Cecil B. DeMille Award. The “Empire” star, who has battled addiction for years, joined his well-known home on the crimson carpet before the ceremony.
