Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson showed off their chemistry as they walked the red carpet at the 13th Annual Governors Awards held at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles on Saturday night.
Hanks entered the evening fresh off his performances this year in Baz Luhrmann’s acclaimed biopic Elvis, in which he played Col. Tom Parker, the rock and roll icon’s longtime manager, and Geppetto in Robert Zemeckis’ musical fantasy film, Pinocchio.
Since its inception in 2009, the Governors Awards have become a major red carpet stop for many Oscar nominees and are widely considered the first major stop on the seasonal awards circuit.

Hanks, 66, looked handsome as he moved past photographers in a classic black suit which he wore with a white shirt and black tie.
The longtime Hollywood man also wore black dress shoes, high-rimmed glasses and had his salt-and-pepper hair cropped short and across his face.
For the most part, Hanks wrapped his left arm around his 34-year-old wife, who was dressed in a black and purple sequin dress.
She also donned a pair of matching peep toe heels, carried a black handbag and had her blonde locks styled long and flowing over her shoulders with lots of natural waves and a center part.

Wilson starred in Steven Soderbergh’s thriller Kimi, alongside Zoë Kravitz, India de Beaufort, Emily Kuroda, Byron Bowers, Derek DelGaudio and Betsy Brantley, among others.
