Tom Brady was not officially listed on the Buccaneers injury report on Thursday, but the veteran quarterback appeared to be dealing with some discomfort in practice. According to people in Tampa, Brady was constantly shaking the ring finger of his right hand throughout the session.

As the Tampa Bay Weather notes, Brady would grip the ball, throw a pass, then look at his hand just before shaking it. He even had something sprayed on his right hand. In the NFL Network video detailing Brady’s finger disease below, you can see the quarterback’s B-roll shaking and staring at that finger numerous times.

In the latest episode of his “Let’s Go” podcast which was released on Monday, Brady admitted he injured his finger in the middle of Tampa Bay’s Week 2 win over the New Orleans Saints.

“I did it pretty well,” he said. “But, you know, it hasn’t affected me in the game at all. It’s just going to be sore all week. One of those bumps and bruises that come with playing. … It’s a demolition derby It’s who can recover fast enough to put themselves in a position to train, prepare and play well the following week.”

Asked about the finger on Thursday, Brady said he felt “good” but also cautioned that “it’s football season, so…”

Considering he’s been on the practice field and isn’t even listed on the injury report, that finger issue doesn’t seem to be stopping Brady from getting dressed on Sunday when the Bucs take on the Packers. After all, he played in an AFC Championship in the 2017 season after getting 12 stitches on his hand during this week of practice. With that in mind, playing through that finger bump should be a walk in the park for No.12.
