What there is to know
The Cincinnati Bengals will hit the road for the second straight week as they travel to Nissan Stadium at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday. Defensive coordinators will surely be putting in overtime ahead of this contest as these teams’ offenses combined for 816 yards last week.
The Bengals beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 37-30 last week. Cincinnati’s RB Samaje Perine looked sharp as he snatched three receiving touchdowns.
Special teams had 13 points for Cincinnati. K Evan McPherson delivered a perfect 3-on-3 match.
Meanwhile, the Tennessee Titans picked up a 27-17 win over the Green Bay Packers last Thursday. RB Derrick Henry was the offensive star of the game for the Titans, throwing a touchdown in addition to hitting a rushing touchdown. Henry struggled to find his footing against the Denver Broncos two weeks ago, so it was a step in the right direction.
This next game should be close, with the Bengals only a 2.5 point favorite. They’ve been consistent moneymakers against the spread when favored (6-3), so they might be worth a quick bet.
Cincinnati won in a tie against Tennessee when the two teams met in January, slipping ahead 19-16. Cincinnati’s win knocked the Titans out of the playoffs, so they have a target on their backs.
