Timothée Chalamet, who made history as the first solo man to cover British voguehas a lot to say.

In the cover written by Giles Hattersly, the man described as ‘the boyfriend of a whole generation’ talks about his new film, the cannibal love story of Luca Guadagnino bones and all, his meteoric rise to fame and what the life of an ever-evolving artist looks like. But, writes Hattersly, Chalamet often prefers to ask the questions rather than offer a definitive opinion on anything like a “classic deflector.”

The profile wastes no time in arriving at a headline-worthy article claiming that Chalamet seems to have taken over from a former teen idol, Leonardo DiCaprio, who, when they met in 2018, proposed his rule of career: “No hard drugs and no superhero movies.

There’s no stealing in Chalamet’s latest film in which he plays Lee, a love-struck cannibal on a road trip with another eater, played by Taylor Russell. He reveals that he relied on aspects of himself for the character. “With Lee, the illusion of control is based on not feeling for anyone and even not interacting with anyone. And I guess that’s where I’m at.

Oscar-nominated Chalamet is currently working on the set of the second part of Denis Villeneuve dunealso shares an exciting response to his other upcoming project as the main character in Wonka by director Paul King. “This movie is so heartfelt, it’s so joyful.” He admits he has seven musical numbers, adding that pushing himself creatively as an artist is exciting.

“I hate to say it, but an artist’s dream is to throw whatever you want on the wall, you know? And I guess what I realize is that the personal life, the adult life, can be pretty boring and the life as an artist can still be amazing.
