A TikTok video has gone viral questioning whether the ongoing public heartbreak for the late Australian environmentalist Steve Irwin has gone too far.
TikTok user @sa99ymaggie highlighted in his video how Steve’s fans like to leave rave comments about the “Crocodile Hunter” whenever his 18-year-old son Robert posts a video on social media.
These comments usually refer to how much Robert resembles his father, who died in 2006 when he was just two years old, or how much they miss him.

She says it sums up the “entire comments section” whenever Robert posts a video showing a “cool animal” at Australia Zoo.
There’s no denying that Maggie is right: a look at Robert’s TikTok and Instagram posts on any given day shows that the comments are filled with references to Steve.

Social media users often remark how much Robert (pictured with a crocodile at Australia Zoo) looks like his famous father, who died in a freak accident 16 years ago.
