Northern Irish fans of American pop sensation Taylor Swift didn’t think in their wildest dreams that she would be in the country this week.
But it looks like the “Love Story” singer could very well be in Belfast, if social media is to be trusted.
A TikTok video shared last night sparked speculation that Swift is currently in Northern Ireland.
TV producer Aaron Nelson landed in Belfast from London on Wednesday and a short clip on his grid sent Swifties to Belfast looking for confirmation.
In the clip he said: “Taylor Swift is in Northern Ireland and I am in Northern Ireland filming a TV show.
“What does that mean? Maybe it doesn’t mean anything, or maybe it does mean something. TikTok, I’ll let you decide.”
The video has attracted more than 58,000 views on the social media platform, with comments desperately mounting for confirmation.
One user wrote: ‘Don’t joke about it. It’s my life.”
Another said: “Don’t tell me she’s going to make an appearance on Conversations with Friends?” I was dying.”
And the conversation has now moved to Twitter, with the “Taylor Swift” trending in Belfast, with a volume of Tweets of 57.9K.
The cast of the new Conversations with Friends TV show, which began filming in Belfast in April, was recently revealed, starring Taylor’s boyfriend Joe Alwyn.

The 30-year-old English actor starred in Operation Finale, The Favorite and Harriet.
He also won a Grammy Award for Album of the Year for Swift’s Folklore Album in 2020 – an album he co-produced.
The couple have been dating for more than four years, according to Elle Magazine.
