Last weekend, following the loss at Notre Dame, Jeff Brohm quickly confirmed Jack Plummer’s place as Purdue’s chosen starter, having been replaced in the game by Aidan O’Connell.
On Saturday, after a lousy as a sin win over Illinois in which O’Connell once again took over the reins from Plummer, the head coach had every chance to do the same after the game and didn’t l did not. His response was one, “We’ll see.”
But Brohm may have answered the question in a roundabout way, in a way.
He explained that his move to O’Connell was motivated by his feeling that Purdue’s offense was going to be “one-dimensional” as long as she couldn’t get football to work, and whether the offense was just going to recede and vomit on the field, O’Connell would best suit this approach.
