The rebirth of the Toyota Supra was one of the most discussed topics of 2019, for obvious reasons. The nameplate returned after 17 years was huge news. But even in 2020, the sports car manages to make the headlines, most recently with the announcement of a new four-cylinder model for the United States, additional power for the six-cylinder in line and a special edition A91 special.

While these factory options are nice, aside from a few internal Toyota builds for SEMA (this one sporting a retro-tastic rear spoiler), we haven’t seen many good aftermarket upgrades on private cars . But this Supra has our attention.

We spoke to the owner of Supra Mohamed Alhammadi, who owns one of the finest modified examples of a sports car we have seen to date. Spotted for the first time on the Vossen Wheels Instagram page, the owner (who is called alias @ 7.insta online) quickly contacted us to give us more details on his unique Supra. But the upgrades are more than visual.

First of all, the wheels: since that’s what attracted us to the start in his car. The 20 x 9.5-inch (front) and 20 x 11-inch (rear) offset rims are Vossen HF-5s finished in shiny gold, each wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires (265/30 and 305/30, respectively ). The light wheels are particularly beautiful under the Renaissance Red 2.0 paint, emblematic of the Supra.

But apart from new fancy shoes, this Supra hides serious performance. BC Racing’s BR series handsets bring the whole thing together, and a hardware upgrade from the second stage of Euromotive Performance adds downspout and cat-free charge pipes. The rest of the vehicle remains in stock (for now), but the owner notes that upgrades are in progress and that an MST cold air intake is next to the file.

With current upgrades (and using the OTS bootmod3 card), he estimates that his car produces around 430 (320) to 460 horsepower (343 kilowatts) behind the wheel. This is a notable improvement in the stock of 335 horsepower (250 kW) of Supra 2019 in the crank. Mohammed also tells us that a sprint from 62 to 125 miles per hour (100 to 200 kilometers per hour) takes only 8.32 seconds – for the record, it’s faster than a Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera d ‘origin.

Hope there is more to come from this beautiful Supra.
