There’s nothing quite like a Jaguar Mark This particular Jaguar is a 1964 model, recently discovered in the northern Lower Peninsula of Michigan, where it has been stored in a barn since the mid-1990s. Now it’s breathing some fresh air after undergoing a Long overdue car wash. And it’s for sale too.
Detail Dane on YouTube shares this automotive awakening with us. This is the same Michigan-based YouTuber who salvaged parts of a forgotten Acura NSX and Audi R8, and now his focus is on England’s pride and joy. It’s unclear why this Jaguar was parked in a barn in Michigan, but its current owner believes it had been there since at least the mid-1990s. Judging by the amount of dirt outside, we don’t we have no problem believing it. For the record, this car is actually white.
He also clearly wants to be saved. It rolls out of the barn with surprising ease, although it takes a small army to push it up the ramp to a waiting trailer. Once back at the shop, the hard work begins and we gradually remember how nice these old Jags really are. Literal layers of dirt give way to a glossy white finish, and even the chrome comes back to life with some persuasion.
The interior is a little rough with mouse marks everywhere, but sections of the original wooden dashboard can be found wrapped in the rear seat. They also look pretty good, as if they were removed for a planned restoration that never happened. What looks like an original spare tire sits in the trunk along with a Jaguar tool kit, and all of that has also been given a deep clean. The end result is as satisfying as it is astonishing.
As we mentioned, the car is for sale. This is actually how Detail Dane found it: The car was included in the property purchased by Little Traverse Conservancy in 2020. It is a nonprofit organization dedicated to land preservation throughout the region, and the proceeds from the sale go to the organization. Originally listed online in found condition, the car is now fully cleaned and relisted for sale at $10,000.
