“This opportunity will give our UK Who fans the chance to hear our current show which, with the addition of an orchestra, takes our music to new heights.”

In addition to a full orchestra, rock veterans will be joined by special UB40 guests featuring Ali Campbell for a handful of their scheduled shows.

Guitarist Pete Townshend added: “Roger originally christened this tour with an orchestra ‘Moving On!’ I love it. It’s what we both want to do. Move on with the new music classic Who, the music unfolded in new and exciting ways.

‘Taking risks has nothing to lose. I can’t wait to bring this show to the UK.

The set will tackle every milestone of their 60-year career, including the rock opera Tommy and the music from the riotous 1973 album Quadrophenia, which was later turned into a hit film.

In 2022 the band toured the United States with The Who Hits Back Tour, during which they shared a stage with some of the biggest orchestral bands in the country.
