A blind singer is expected to surprise coaches at The Voice Kids auditions on Saturday evening.
The children’s series is finally back on our screens as trainers Will.i.am, Paloma Faith, Pixie Lott and Danny Jones are looking for the most talented children in the UK.
Lydia, of Worcester, will go on stage where she sings Your Song by Elton John in the last episode – and it’s absolutely beautiful.
The 13-year-old girl, who was born with a genetic disease that affects her eyes, explained before her hearing that she does not let anything hold back and that she “ loves trying things out ”.
“I like blind hearings because the judges cannot see me and they judge me by my voice and not by my disability,” she said.
Lydia’s hearing was so moving that Pixie told her “ you could hear a pin fall ”, while Paloma described it as “ magical ”.
Another act that completely seduced the judges and the general public was Jimmy, seven years old.
Maidstone’s Jimmy goes on stage with his own vision of Park Life by Blur – and it’s amazing.
The Voice Kids will air Saturday at 7:25 p.m. on ITV.
