If you love romance, sexy singles and glamorous European destinations, boy, 10 has a show for you.
Where is Bachie faded away? Nobody knows. Instead, 10 gives us a whole new dating show that’s basically the island of love on a boat, and to be honest, we’re in it!
The True Love Boat takes place aboard the Princess Cruises ship, Regal Princess, and will see our contestants sail the seas – visiting scenic locations in Spain, Greece, France, Italy, Turkey and Montenegro along the way – as they search for a match lasting love.
One of the singles hoping to find their soul mate this season is Daniel Goodburn, a 25-year-old distillery manager from the Gold Coast.
Describing herself in a press release as “loyal, honest, funny, energetic and kind”, Goodburn hopes to find someone like-minded aboard the Regal Princess.

Having had two previous relationships, Goodburn also hopes to meet someone who is driven, patient and family-oriented, as he feels quite ready to launch the next chapter of his life.
Although he feels he has a lot to offer a potential partner, Goodburn hopes to woo his future love with acts of service. As a tall, tall man, Goodburn promises he can: reach high objects, open jars and… enter into a spontaneous dance for all to enjoy.
“I’m fun, caring, and like to get the most out of my life,” he said. “But most importantly, I want everyone around me to enjoy and enjoy their lives too.”
Those who will not being blessed with an interpretive dance routine of their own, however, are rude people. It’s a dealbreaker for Goodburn, as are the authorized people, and “those people who usually make you want to stick a fork in your eye”.
While Goodburn may be hoping to find the one aboard the Regal Princess, when it comes to his celebrity crush, he’s not in the mood to settle down just yet.
“Ana de Armas…or Jessica Alba…OR Denzel Washington,” he mused, adding, “and the arms of Chris Hemsworth of course.”
Hosted by Darren McMullen, The True Love Boat also features cruise director Hannah Ferrier – who Bravo chefs will recognize Under the Mediterranean Bridge – as well as entertainment chief Daniel Doody and captain Paolo Arrigo of Princess Cruises.
Will one of our singles find love and never let go? Or will it be a titanic disaster? Only time will tell.
The True Love Boat premieres at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, only on 10 and 10 Play on Demand.
