Fit fans can expect mountains of muscle mayhem when the UK round of the Strongman Champions League takes place in Gloucester this summer.
Seven-foot-tall giants and 30 stone-heavy men will flex their muscles and stiffen their tendons as they compete in traditional events such as truck pulls and cable cars at Gloucester Docks.
Organizers promise the event in Orchard Square in August will be “quite a show”.

The Strongman Competitions UK Facebook page confirmed the event this morning by posting: “It’s stuck! [On] On August 20, SCL UK will be at Gloucester Docks.
“The greatest athletes, the greatest show, the greatest tour! Come be part of the experience.”
The competition which takes place at separate events around the world is held in stages throughout the year.
Adie Monk, Promotions Manager for Unbreakable Promotions, said: “My business partner and I are very familiar with Gloucester. We know there are other similar competitions that are less publicized in the North but not in the southwest.
“The event is set to take place on August 20 in Orchard Square. It will be quite a spectacle. The tour travels the world, from the Caribbean to Russia, and will hopefully continue to return to the UK for years to come. .
“At these events, the atmosphere is bubbling. The event brings together TV crews and presenters, compares and the competitors are really good with the crowds.
“Some of the contestants are seven feet tall and weigh 200 pounds seeing what they’re doing, people are really excited.”

Passionate Strongman Champions League fans are chomping at the bit not to miss the event. They are already asking when and where they can get their tickets for the global blockbuster event.
Adie said: “Tickets will go on sale next week. At the moment we are looking at the number, but there could be around 2,000 for sale.
“We will be selling tickets at reasonable prices. Everyone has really enjoyed it for a few years and we would like families to come out and enjoy the day together.
“So on August 20, we will be opening the doors for people to come in and eat and soak up the atmosphere. It all starts properly at 11 a.m. and continues until about 5:30 p.m.
“Tickets will go on sale on the Eventbrite website sometime next week.”
