In 2019, Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt had a brief interview with Access Hollywood at the D23 Expo. They were promoting The Jungle Cruise when Blunt and Teth actor Adam recalled their favorite time working together.
Johnson said, “Honestly, my favorite moment on set was when the number of takes we messed up because I was just trying to make her laugh. Waiting and completely ruined. I get such joy out of it.
Blunt added, “He messed up my outings, messed up my close-ups by trying to make me laugh and he succeeded. So it’s a miracle that they took anything on this movie together. We really had the best time. It was the best.”
The Mary Poppins actress has repeatedly shared that Johnson made her laugh while filming the movie. They had a great time during filming and this chemistry is reflected in the film.
Additionally, while the film was delayed for a year due to the pandemic, Johnson and Blunt kept the buzz going. They released their character-driven movie trailer and shot each other. The Great One, amusingly, once threatened Disney with Blunt’s Best Video.
Dwayne Johnson praised Emily Blunt
It’s no secret that The Rock has always been a secret admirer of Emily Blunt’s work in recent years. In the same interview, Dwayne Johnson shared his thoughts on Blunt’s talent and his experience working with the “The Devil Wears Prada” actress.
The WWE legend said, “It was amazing and I’ve been a huge fan of Emily, jokes aside. I’ll talk about her like she wasn’t there. I’ve been a huge fan of hers for a very, very long time (and) she knows it.”
