Nick Cannon, after testing positive for COVID-19, made a surprise return to The Masked Singer on Wednesday after competing as a Bulldog on the hit show Fox.
The 40-year-old host sang the song Candy Girl from the 1983 new edition after dedicating his performance to alternate guest host Niecy Nash, 51.
Niecy shocked panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong and Nicole Scherzinger by announcing that she was reducing their vote and would decide for herself who was going to be unmasked in the Group B finale.

She said the Wildcard Bulldog was in the process of being eliminated after facing Black Swan, Piglet, Crab and Chameleon.
Bulldog surprised the whole panel with Robin, 44, Ken, 51, Jenny, 48, and Nicole, 42, assuming he could be Andy Samberg, Chris Tucker, Eddie Murphy or Chris Rock.
Nick dramatically fell to his knees after Niecy summarily fired him from the show.
The “ Significant Object Clue ” clue for Bulldog was a statement that read, “ AND … LIVE FROM NEW YORK, IT’S SATURDAY NIGHT. ”

Nick after being diagnosed earlier this year with COVID-19 missed the first four episodes of The Masked Singer after Niecy intervened for him in early February when production began season five.
“Niecy, first of all let me say that I dedicated my performance to you because you really are a queen. You replaced me during my illness, during a difficult time for me, and being able to watch you do your thing in an incredible way and shine here, I really thank you. You are royalty, Nick told him publicly.
“But you kicked me out of the damn show!” I was trying to go all the way, Niecy! ”, He added.

Nick admitted he had a “ new respect ” for the Fox show’s contestants.
“I never thought I would be nervous. My heart was beating fast and everything! I was like, “Yo, I’m nervous playing in front of my people!” Nick said.
Niecy joined him as Nick was playing Candy Girl again without his mask.

The hour-long episode kicked off with Black Swan taking How Will I Know from the late legendary singer Whitney Houston.
“Without a doubt, she’s one of the favorites,” Jenny said.
The panelists had eclectic guesses which included: Emily Osment, Ashlee Simpson, Doja Cat, Victoria Justice and Brenda Song.

A crew member urged Crab to take a “deep breath”.
‘It’s hot. it’s hot. Oh please take it off. Take it off, Crab pleaded.

The crab quickly recovered and returned to face the worried panelists.
“ It’s all right, ” Crab assured them before revealing that his personal clue was a black bowler hat that once belonged to Sammy Davis Jr.
“I admire it so much that I wore it as much as I could,” Crab said.

Chameleon then performed and rapped Hip Hop by Dead Prez.
Wildcard Bulldog’s entry was then paved onto the stage at Hound Dog by Elvis Presley and his bundle of clues hinted at his stint on America’s Got Talent.
The masked singer will return to Fox next week with the Group A finale.
