White House offers call to Nicki Minaj to answer vaccine questions
WASHINGTON: The White House offered to put Nicki Minaj in touch with one of the doctors in the Biden administration to answer questions about the Covid-19 vaccine, after the Trinidad-born rapper’s spurious tweet alleging the vaccine causes impotence went viral.
The White House said it offered such appeals to others concerned about the vaccine, as part of an aggressive public relations campaign to combat widespread misinformation about the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine.
Minaj made headlines when she tweeted that the Met Gala demanded that participants be vaccinated and that she would not get vaccinated until “I don’t think I did enough research.” PA

Jeff Bridges says tumor has shrunk, Covid ‘in rearview mirror’
Jeff Bridges says his cancer is in remission and his Covid-19 case is “in the rearview mirror.”
The actor shared the good news on his website, claiming his tumor has grown from 12 inches to the size of a marble. Bridges said he and his wife, Susan Geston, were infected with Covid-19 in January while undergoing chemotherapy.
Bridges was in a hospital bed for five weeks and had even “approached the Pearly Gates” at one point because his immune system had been damaged. Recovery has been difficult, he said – until recently he needed oxygen support just to walk around. PA
