Australian Hannah Green made a 30-foot birdie on the final hole to win the HSBC Women’s World Championship.

The 27-year-old shot a five-under-par 67 on Sunday, including three birdies in her last three holes, to beat Frenchwoman Céline Boutier.

Green started the final day at Singapore’s Sentosa Golf Club in second place behind Japan’s Ayaka Furue.

She made a bogey at the 10th but finished at 13 under after her late run of birdies to notch a fourth LPGA Tour victory.

Boutier matched Green with a 67 in the final round and was at 12 under while Furue had to settle for a share of eighth place at seven under after double-bogeying his final hole.

Green’s winning putt on the 18th sparked huge celebrations as she sealed her first victory since last year’s JM Eagle LA Championship.

“I knew I had to at least birdie the last one to win by one. As soon as that putt went in, I was like, ‘Oh my God, I won,'” Green said.

“You have to take those highs when they come because they don’t always happen and golf can sometimes be a learning sport.

“I almost won the championship in 2021 when I was first playing it. I remember I three-putted on 17 and then three-putted again on 18 to lose.

“It’s great to have this trophy in my hands now.

“Céline played well today, but she didn’t get the trophy in her hands. But she should still be proud of the way she performed under this pressure.”
