Will Tom Holland return to the MCU after the current Sony-Marvel deal expires? Marvel Studios
Last summer, Film Twitter blew up a joint when it was announced that Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures had ended their working relationship regarding Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. The dispute, like all the others in Hollywood, boiled down to money. Marvel, serving as the creative backbone behind the Dutch web-slinger, wanted a bigger cut in profits, which Sony mainly controlled because they owned the character’s screen rights. Finally, an extension was worked out that would allow Holland to return to another solo feature of Spider-Man arriving in 2021 and another appearance of MCU, supposed to be a possible Avengerslike a crossover.
