Who’s ready for college? The first trailer for Amazon’s ‘The Boys’ spinoff ‘Gen V’ premiered Saturday, December 3 at the Brazilian Comic Con Experience, and the new series looks just as evil as the original. . While the voiceover promises students at Godolkin University that the campus will provide them with a “safe space to thrive”, it sounds like enrolling in this college is a dangerous undertaking.
The trailer features blood, guts, and . . . puppets? Without context, it’s hard to say exactly what’s going on in college, but with Vought involved, you can bet the whole operation is shady.
“Gen V” was announced around the time “The Boys” season three was signed earlier this year – just in time to hold fans over until next season. The R-rated series is about a group of Supes at the only superhero-only college and the action-packed ridiculousness that ensues. “[It] explores the lives of hormonal and competitive Supes as they test their physical, sexual and moral limits, competing for the best contracts in the best cities,” a press release read. Part college show, part ‘Hunger Games’ – with all the heart, satire and sluggishness of ‘The Boys’.”

Who plays in “Gen V”?
“Gen V” stars Patrick Schwarzenegger, Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Sean Patrick Thomas and Marco Pigossi. Additionally, the trailer revealed that several familiar faces from “The Boys” are set to make appearances in the first season, including Jessie T. Usher, Colby Minifie, and PJ Byrne. Jason Ritter, Clancy Brown and “Supernatural” alum Alexander Calvert are also set to star.

When will ‘Gen V’ air?
Although an exact premiere date has yet to be set, the trailer confirms that the new series will premiere in 2023.
