Mackenzie Dern actively fights in the strawweight division and is ranked No. 7. She is the daughter of famous BJJ black belt Wellington “Megaton” Dias and quickly took after her father, starting in his academy at the age of three. years. Holding the same credentials, the Arizona native has a stack of accolades to compliment her arrival in the UFC, such as BJJ 2x world champion at black belt, IBJJF #1 ranked women’s and No Gi world champion. Dern’s promotional debut came at UFC 222, where she won by split decision over Ashley Yoder. Breaking into the UFC allowed him to add to the resume, winning Performance of the Night (three), Fight of the Night (one), most submission victories in the UFC Strawweight division (four) and the second most submission wins in the UFC among women (four). Dern has only been a professional for seven years and hopes to continue to flesh out her already impressive resume.
