The facelift of the Porsche Cayenne is underway. To whet our appetite, here’s another set of spy shots as the updated SUV undergoes winter testing. Even better, our spy photographers were able to get up close to the refreshed model, giving us a close look.
As seen in the set of photos below, the headlight covers are placed around the headlights and on the lower bumper. They make the lamps look bigger, while we are still guessing what Porsche is hiding on the corners of the front corners. Beyond the cover-ups, however, we can already see what’s new up front compared to the outgoing model.

The rear is where it gets interesting. There’s a large amount of tape used to conceal the strip that cuts into the tailgate, meaning the German marque is using an update to the taillight graphics. It also looks like the taillights are bigger than before, reaching almost to the center of the tailgate. The rear turn signals are exposed, but as far as changes go, that’s still a mystery at this point.
Inside updates are not visible with this batch of photos. Previous spy photos show a new infotainment system and fewer physical buttons, plus an updated shifter to the Porsche 911.
Powertrain updates are still undisclosed as of this writing, but you can expect Porsche to up the horsepower numbers slightly for the facelifted Cayenne. There’s also an update coming for the swoopy Cayenne Coupe. The facelifted Porsche Cayenne is expected to debut this year. We will let you know when we know the exact schedule.
Meanwhile, the US is getting a Platinum Edition for the Porsche Cayenne and Cayenne Coupe, for those who don’t want to wait for the updated version.
