A new video from YouTuber TechDroider shows how to test the battery life of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 (4400mAh). These phones are pitted against Samsung’s Galaxy S22 Ultra (5,000 mAh), Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max (4,352 mAh), OnePlus 10 Pro (5,000 mAh), and Xiaomi 12S Ultra (4,860 mAh). Surprisingly, Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 outperform Galaxy S22 Ultra despite having lower battery capacity.

In a test that passes phones through games, web browsing and social media apps, the Galaxy S22 Ultra was the first phone to die. It lasted 8 hours and 56 minutes on a single charge, and its temperature was around 50.4°C. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 lasted 9 hours and 4 minutes, and its temperature was 42°C. The OnePlus 10 Pro only lasted a minute longer than the Galaxy Z Fold 4 but heated up more (45°C). The Xiaomi 12S Ultra, which uses the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, lasted 9 hours and 38 minutes on a single charge but was almost as hot (44.1°C) as the OnePlus 10 Pro. The iPhone 13 Pro Max had the best battery life at 10 hours and 35 minutes, but it was slightly warmer (40.5°C) than the Galaxy Z Fold 4.
