There’s always room for another ultra-affordable smartphone, or so Tecno thought. The Transsion brand launched the Pop 5X device in Mexico with a quad-core processor, Android 10 GB and a 4,000 mAh battery.
On the front, we have a 6.5-inch HD display with a 5MP selfie camera mounted on a teardrop notch. Tecno doesn’t reveal what the chipset is, but the phone is probably a rebranded iTel Vision 1Pro (another product from Transsion), and on its specs page we can see that it’s powered by a Unisoc SC9832E. RAM is 2GB and storage is 32GB, but you can expand the latter with microSD cards.
On the back, the Pop 5X has an 8MP main camera and two QVGA shooters of what we assume is of limited use. There’s also a physical fingerprint scanner next to the camera island.

The phone sells for 2,000 MXN, or around $115. It is already available in some physical stores in the Latin American country.
