The set grossed 342,000 equivalent album units in the US in the week ending November 3 (down 78%). A week ago, the album surged to No. 1 with 1.578 million units, the highest weekly total since Adele’s. 25 debuted with 3.482 million units (chart from December 12, 2015).

Midnights has the highest second-week total of any album since Adele’s 25 totaled 1.162 million units in its second image (December 19, 2015, chart). More, Midnights‘ The sum of the second week is the third largest overall week of the year for any album. In 2022, the three biggest weeks are Midnights‘debut (1.578 million), Harry Styles’ debut’ Harry’s house (521,000) and Midnights‘ second week (342,000). Another note on the size of Midnights‘ second week – it’s so big, it’s bigger than the total units earned by albums #2-7 on the last chart combined. The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the United States based on multimetric consumption measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units include album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA), and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals 1 album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 official ad-supported audio and video streams or 1,250 paid/on-demand subscription generated songs from a album. Of Midnights342,000 equivalent album units earned, SEA units include 224,000 (down 46% or 294 million official on-demand streams of tracks in the set), album sales include 114,000 ( down 90%) and TEA units include 4,000 (down 79%).

The Beatles’ former No. 1 Billboard 200 album Revolver re-enters the chart at No. 4 after its re-release as a special deluxe edition on October 28. The set grossed 54,000 equivalent album units in the week ending November 3 (up 1,963%). Of this sum, album sales include 46,000 (up 6,346%), SEA units include 7,000 (up 280%; equivalent to 8.78 million on-demand streams of tracks from the together) and TEA units include 1,000 (up 1,237%).

Revolver was first released in 1966 and spent six weeks at the top of the chart (September 10 – October 15, 1966). For its special edition, the album was re-released in a variety of expanded formats and editions, many with previously unreleased tracks. All album releases, old and new, are combined for tracking and charting purposes.

The reissue of Revolver is part of the ongoing series of extended reissues of selected Beatles studio albums. It follows the reissues of So be it in 2021 (first release in 1970), Abbey Road in 2019 (first released in 1969), The Beatles in 2018 (often referred to as the White Album, first released in 1968) and sergeant. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band in 2017 (first released in 1967). All five albums initially reached No. 1 shortly after release and returned to the top 10 after their extended reissues.

Morgan Wallen chart topper Dangerous: the double album fell 4-5 on the Billboard 200 with 41,000 equivalent album units earned (down 6%), and The Weeknd’s The strong points plunges 5-6 with nearly 41,000 (up 3%).

Baby Keem melodic blue returned to the top 10 after more than a year, with a 105-7 rating, following the set’s extended reissue and vinyl debut (both October 28). Ten additional tracks were added to the album (bringing its total to 26 tracks), while the original standard track listing from the 16-track set bowed on vinyl LP.

Of that, SEA units include 26,000 (equivalent to 35.76 million official on-demand streams of collected tracks from the set), album sales include 11,000 (essentially all vinyl sales), and units TEAs include a negligible sum.

Kodak Black collects its fifth Billboard 200 top 10 effort as Kutthroat Bill: Vol. 1 debuted at No. 8 with 37,000 equivalent album units earned. Of that sum, SEA units comprise 34,000 (equivalent to 45.67 million official on-demand streams of the tracks in the set), album sales comprise 2,500, and TEA units comprise a negligible amount.

To complete the top 10 of the new Billboard 200, two former No. 1: Harry Styles’ Harry’s housedown 8-9 with 31,000 equivalent album units (down 3%), and Beyoncé’s Renaissancestable at No. 10 with 26,000 (down 12%).
