If you had told me in early 2023 that Taylor Swift would write an entire album about being madly in love with Matty Healy and angry at the world we don’t support this forbidden love, well, I would have told you that she could Never.
It just goes to show that you can never tell the person from the artist, because here we are: an entire, emotionally raw album, seemingly about Matty fucking Healy, the frontman of The 1975. I can’t.
That’s right, Swift’s eleventh studio album, The Department of Tortured Poets, it’s all about this fucking guy. You’ll recall that they were publicly linked last year, but quickly ended and were forgotten. The whole album is… a choice. Not one I would do, but Swift has made it clear she doesn’t care. On the one hand, I admire him. On the other hand, this swing is for Matty Healy, so… I guess my takeaway here is that when these celebrity gossip magazines try to tell us “Stars!” » They are like us! ” we should all point to this album and say “no, it’s not.”
