Taylor Swift returns behind the camera.

The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter will direct her feature debut from a script she wrote, Searchlight Pictures announced Friday.

Swift has already directed a short film — last year’s visual accompaniment to the 10-minute version of her song “All Too Well” — and has also directed several of her music videos.

“Taylor is a once-in-a-generation artist and storyteller,” the presidents of Searchlight said in a statement. “It is a true joy and privilege to collaborate with her as she embarks on this exciting new creative journey.”

The title and premise of his film have not been released.

Swift also wrote, produced and starred in the short film ‘All Too Well,’ which stars ‘Stranger Things’ actress Sadie Sink and ‘Teen Wolf’ alum Dylan O’Brien as lovers. short term. The film earned Swift a Best Music Video nomination at next year’s Grammy Awards.

In June, Swift screened her short at the Tribeca Festival, where she acknowledged her ambition to direct a feature film.

“I have always thought [film directing] was something that other people were doing, and I’d just be around that, and in my head I’d be thinking, ‘Oh, I love that they did that. I would have done it differently,” Swift said.

She also referenced her “privilege as a female filmmaker” as she was able to self-fund “All Too Well.”

The announcement of Swift’s feature debut came a day after she shared a behind-the-scenes look at the short on Instagram.

Swift’s music video directing credits include her songs “Anti-Hero” and “Bejeweled,” both of which appear on her latest album, “Midnights.” Swift also directed the videos for her hits “Cardigan” and “Lover.”

Swift, 32, who has starred in films such as ‘Cats’ and ‘Amsterdam’, is set to tour next year in support of ‘Midnights’. Historic demand for concert tickets crashed Ticketmaster’s website during last month’s pre-sale period and prompted the company to cancel the public portion of the rollout.
