Swift was set to tour in 2020 in support of her seventh studio album, Loverbut was forced to cancel the dates once after the world was hit by the coronavirus pandemic.
“This is an unprecedented pandemic that has changed everyone’s plans and no one knows what the touring landscape will look like in the near future,” said the Red tweeted the singer.
Swift, 32, has already done five concert tours, her last being the Reputation World Tour in 2018 which grossed nearly $350 million, breaking the record for the highest-grossing tour of all time.
The singer released two new albums in 2020, Folklore and Stilland re-recorded two of his previous records in 2021, Without fear and Red, after losing ownership of his back catalog in a high-profile dispute with his former label in 2019.
Swifties on Twitter speculate that after the surprise announcement of MidnightsSwift could be gearing up for her biggest-budget tour yet that celebrates her final four albums — and that’s not even including her re-recordings, per Capital FM.
A viral tweet read: “Taylor Swift is set to announce a combined world tour in 2023 for her albums ‘Lover, folklore, evermore and Midnights’.” (sic)
So far, no representative of the multiple Grammy Award winner has confirmed the news to any publication.
