Last year, after Scooter Braun and its Ithaca Holdings LLC purchased the master rights to Taylor Swift’s Big Machine catalog, Swift said she plans to re-record her albums to regain control of her masters. Braun recently sold the Swift Masters to a private equity firm called Shamrock Holdings. Responding to the news, Swift said she was re-recording and promised “a lot of surprises.”
