An old video of Taylor Swift has resurfaced on social media showing the singer freaking out as a bug crawls up her dress.
Posted on TikTok, a Swift fan, under the username @lia.is.fearless, shared a video of the star screaming after realizing a bug was in her costume while filming her song’s music video hit “Love Story”. The viral video has over 60,000 likes and has been viewed over 230,000 times.
“And you wanna scream…” the Swiftie captioned the video, using the lyrics to “illicit business” from Swift’s eighth studio album, Folklore.
“Oh my God!” Swift screams and screams when she notices a spider on her dress. The helper comes to the rescue and removes the bug from the dress and laughs at her panic.
The clip is from a behind-the-scenes look at his music video for his 2009 album, Without fear.
Many fans took to the comments section to laugh at the clip and share their other thoughts.
“fearless taylor swift,” wrote one TikTok user.
“Love the Age of Fear,” another joked.
“in his fearless days, don’t be fearless,” one user said.
“it’s iconic,” exclaimed one user.
One user found the panic very relevant, “I would scream like that too.”
“we’re the same when it comes to bugs,” agreed another.
“THIS IS SO FUN THERE IS A LOT OF HELP,” exclaimed one user.
Another user said, “No because if it was me I would have started taking the dress off. CUT THE CAMERAS…Deada**.”
In April, a bug was actually named after Swift. Entomologist who works with the Virginia Department of Agriculture, Derek Hennen named a centipede after the singer. He had been looking for a new specimen in Tennessee for a while and was mostly unsuccessful.
He put on some Taylor Swift music to brighten his day.
“She pretty much has a song for every emotion,” Hennen told WTOP-TV, “I thought it would be really fun to name a species after her if we found enough. And that was no problem. We had so many undescribed species to name.”
When he succeeded, he named the new species Nannaria swiftae – the Swift Twisted-claw Centipede.
A centipede is part of the Diplopoda class of arthropods. Within the 10,000 species, they typically live and eat decaying plant matter, according to Britannica. Animals can have up to 200 legs. You may be able to find them in your garden under rocks or wet leaves. Some common millipedes are the white-legged millipede, striped millipede, and American giant millipede.
Hennen described the centipede: “It’s kind of this nice shiny color, maroon brown and black, and then on the sides of the body on each segment, there’s these nice orange spots on it.”
