MANILA, Philippines — Music streaming platform Spotify has released its Wrapped 2022 campaign, detailing the most listened to artists, songs and podcasts for its users this year.
For the third consecutive year, the most streamed artist on Spotify worldwide was Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny, who has generated 18.5 billion streams at the time of writing and his album “Un Verano Sin Ti” being the most streamed album.
After Bad Bunny, there was Taylor Swift whose second place is attributed to the release of her new album “Midnights” and the late 2021 release of her version of “Red”, allowing her to become the most viral artist of 2022.
Hip-hop artists Drake and The Weeknd and Kpop supergroup BTS round out the Top 5 most streamed artists; The Weeknd, Bad Bunny and BTS were also on the list of most viral artists, with Lana del Rey rounding them out.

Although Bad Bunny was the most streamed artist, two of his songs only held the fourth and fifth spots of the most streamed songs, as they were dominated by Harry Styles’ “As It Was”, “Heat Waves by Glass Animals. and Kid Laroi’s “Stay” featuring Justin Bieber.
Behind “Un Verano Sin Ti” among the most listened albums were “Harry’s House” by Styles, “Sour” by Filipino-American singer Olivia Rodrigo, “=” by Ed Sheeran and “Planet Her” by Doja Cat.
Spotify also released a list of songs with the most shared lyrics, led by “Heat Waves,” followed by “Heather” by Conan Grey, “I Love You So” by The Walters, “Summertime Sadness” by Lana del Rey. , and Keane’s “Somewhere Only We Know”.
