New York City – Anyone interested in attending this year’s Tribeca Festival can purchase tickets online. That is, unless you are interested in Taylor Swift. Only “Tribeca Insiders” currently have early access to the Taylor Swift Talk, which includes a screening of a short film on Saturday, June 11 at the Beacon Theater. You need a special code to unlock invite-only tickets.
On May 2, Tribeca Festival announced on Instagram that “all tickets” were on sale. They failed to point out that Taylor Swift tickets were only available to a lucky few. Dozens of Swift fans responded in the comments: WHAT’S THE CODE?
The ticket restriction is noteworthy because, among the other 20 Tribeca speaks, Taylor Swift’s speech is the only one limited to so-called insiders. To catch Conversations with Tyler Perry, Pharrell Williams or Tig Notaro, or anyone else scheduled for the festival, you can purchase tickets for $40. Some of the Tribeca Talks, such as “Navigate the frenzied times” with Dawn Chmielewski and Dade Hayes, are free to attend.
How much are tickets to see Taylor Swift talk about her 2021 film Too good: the short film, in which she wrote, directed, produced and starred? These tickets vary. On the ticket master website, prime seating in the central orchestra section has an estimated cost of $111. Further into the balcony section, prices drop to $46. Of course, these rates do not include processing fees.
Who are these Tribeca insiders? There is no information on how to become an insider, but whoever they are, they have secured advance tickets for the event. Tickets went on sale last Monday and the Beacon Theater is already more than half full.
