Taylor Swift did it.
The global pop star made the trip from Japan to Las Vegas in time to watch her boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday. She was seen entering Allegiant Stadium hours before the game alongside her mother, actor Blake Lively, rapper Ice Spice and designer Ashley Avignone, among others.
Swift was spotted wearing a #87 necklace in honor of Kelce’s number.
Swift was later seen kissing Kelce’s brother Jason in a stadium suite.
Swift also met with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell before the game in a suite.
Swift and Lively were featured on CBS during the pre-game festivities when Post Malone sang “America The Beautiful.”
“DoodleBob” came to say hello to Swift on Nickelodeon’s alternate feed at the start of the first quarter. The show also correctly identified Kelce at the first opportunity.
Allegiant Stadium showed Swift chugging and then slamming his beer on the stadium screens in the second quarter.
Swift, of course, celebrated with the rest of the box after the Chiefs’ first touchdown in the third quarter, putting them up 13-10.
Swift was sweating along with the rest of the stadium by the end of the fourth quarter.
Naturally, after the Chiefs took the overtime victory, Swift and his team stormed back into the sequel.
Swift took to the court with Donna Kelce and Jackson Mahomes to celebrate after the victory.
She eventually found Kelce to celebrate the moment with him in what was a very emotional scene.
Taylor Swift’s trip from Tokyo to Las Vegas
Swift performed four concerts in Tokyo earlier this week as part of the international leg of her The Eras tour. She left Japan right after her final show Saturday night and flew to Los Angeles, a trip that takes about 12 hours. She crossed the international date line and nine time zones and headed to Las Vegas on Sunday with plenty of time on her hands. Las Vegas is 17 hours behind Japan, which made the 5,700-mile trip possible in such a tight time frame.
Fans spotted a private jet they thought Swift was on and actually cheered when it landed at LAX in Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon.
It’s unclear whether she made the final leg to Las Vegas or drove the rest of the way. There are about 475 private jet parking spaces at the four Las Vegas area airports, although the FAA said earlier this month that they were full this weekend for the game. Regardless, she achieved this successfully.
Swift has missed very few games since she made her first appearance at a Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium in October, when speculation about her relationship with Kelce began. She was spotted hanging out with Kelce’s mother, Donna, in the suites and alongside a shirtless Jason Kelce during the AFC Championship Game. The Super Bowl marks his 13th game for the Chiefs this season.
Swift is expected to travel to Australia soon to resume her tour. She has three shows in Melbourne starting on Friday before playing four shows in Sydney later in the month.
