Let’s take a break from all the feuds, rumors, and shade and focus on something nice on the internet for a change: Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez continue to lead each other’s sprawling best friend teams.
Fresh off their reunion at the VMAs, Swift and Gomez had dinner together and took a few BFF selfies to celebrate, which Gomez posted to her Instagram. “She’s my best friend, she’s really bad,” Gomez wrote in the caption, referencing the lyrics of Saweetie and Doja Cat’s iconic song “Best Friend.”
Both pop stars are famous for their large circles of ride-or-dies. Swift has Jack Antonoff, Gigi Hadid and Blake Lively. Gomez, meanwhile, is in a “throuple” with Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz-Beckham. Yet nothing can replace the Swomez bond, which they clearly express by regularly reinforcing each other on their social networks. After Gomez released “Single Soon,” Swift posted the clip to her IG Stories with the caption, “When your best friend is the best,” according to E! News. And after seeing Swift’s Eras Tour show, Gomez wrote on her Instagram: “Thank you, my best friend, for transporting me and my sissy to your mystical, euphoric and special world.” Proud to know you! I love you forever and ever.
