Sandown Racing Tips
1.45: Dolos 11/4
Placed respectably in Year 2 pursuits in its last two races at Exeter and Kempton behind Editeur Du Gite and Greeneteen.
Falls back in class on a dangerous mark and should come back to victory, last victory of this race last year, in Frero Banbou with 3 pounds less.
There are dangers from outsiders in the domain, including The Widdow Maker and Third Time Lucki entering this domain after wind surgeries.
1h50: Gerri Colombe 5/4
The Virgin Bet Scilly Isles Novices’ Chase is a huge Grade 1 for Gerri Colombe, the favorite trained by Gordon Elliott.
The unbeaten seven-year-old won a Grade 1 in tough conditions in Limerick on Boxing Day and continued to take on his challenges over similar distances.
He received a 154 rating and holds National Hunt Challenge Cup and Brown Advisory entries, both of which are great advancements in travel and make him an attractive prospect for this prep race.
2.55: Storm Nelson 16/1
Great prize in each direction for this ten year old who seems to continue to improve and who won his last two in good fashion.
Going up another 6 pounds for the latest win, but this wind surgery clearly worked like a charm in tackling this area well – including beating the heaviest Flight Deck.
Remastered won last time and is a clear favorite but doesn’t seem to have too much value under 6/1.
Wetherby Racing Tips
2:40 p.m.: Ballygriffincottage 8/11
Interesting little ground for this Graded Towton Novices’ Chase and it’s the favorite Ballygriffincottage that looked to make the most of the fences.
And that’s right after an attempt on the fence beating Beauport by 11 lengths.
Could improve from that and gained just 5lbs for that win and has good form over the hurdles including finishing fourth in Grade 1 Albert Bartlett at last year’s Cheltenham Festival.
Running tips in Leopardstown
1.55: Lossiemouth 1/2
This four-year-old also trained by Mullins and owned by Ms S Ricci, however, is already meeting high expectations and is a short-term favorite this weekend in Dublin.
Only three hurdle races since April 2022, but won all three comfortably and with quite a bit of time in hand.
It will be much the same but will have a battle on its hands in the form of its stable mate Blood Destiny (9/4), which is rated at 3 lbs heavier but will carry 7 lbs total more for l filly’s allowance.

This Arkle Novice could be seen in years to come as a real treat to behold with all eight riders claiming victories and an abundance of promise.

He showed real hunting ability, winning Tommy’s Oscar well at Cheltenham in November and a respectable third at Fairyhouse in December.
Excels on this shorter trip and has a record of 811711 in all rules races facing a distance of 2m-2m1f.

Now ranked 175, this top fighter hasn’t made a mistake since crashing at the Cheltenham Festival in the Turners Novices’ Chase last year.
Would have won that by a long shot too, just like his subsequent victories at Fairyhouse and Punchestown since.
3:40 p.m.: Freedom to dream 20/1
Still lightly raced at the age of eight, but placed honorably many times over hurdles.
Spent hunting briefly in winter, but will do well to return to hedgerows 131.
Placed behind Eric Bloodaxe, Minella Cocooner and just four lengths behind Banbridge at the Cheltenham Festival last year.
