talkSPORT Betting Tips – Best Golf Bets and Expert Tips for RBC Heritage

Scottie Scheffler produced a magnificent performance on the back nine at Augusta National on Sunday to capture a second Masters title and the world’s best golfer is immediately back in action at the RBC Heritage.

Doubts existed about Scheffler’s participation in the PGA Tour’s marquee event – his wife Meredith is expecting their first child in the coming days – but for now, he’s in the field at Harbor Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island, in South Carolina.

Harbor Town, a narrow, tree-lined venue in stark contrast to Augusta, has hosted the Heritage since 1969. Matt Fitzpatrick, who beat Jordan Spieth in a play-off a year ago, is the latest in a tidy list of operators precise to have claimed this title.

Scheffler, a two-time Masters champion, doesn’t object to this lightly, but, if ever there was a week where his ridiculously high standards slipped slightly, it might just be this one.

RBC Wealth Advice

Tommy Fleetwood will win and each way @ 18/1

Tommy Fleetwood finished in style at the Masters, shooting a 69 on Sunday to move him into third place, and the Englishman appears to have every chance of finally winning on the PGA Tour this week.

A prolific DP World Tour champion, Fleetwood finished seventh at the Valero Texas Open the week before the Masters, suggesting his game is trending in the right direction, and his tee-to-green accuracy should see him shine at Harbor Town.

The 33-year-old hasn’t quite put it all together in South Carolina yet, but he shot 64-68 this weekend while ranked 10th in 2022 and entered the final round last season with a chance to win before finding themselves in 15th place. .

Patrick Cantlay will win and each way @ 14/1

While several members of this week’s field are out of action due to signature event status, Patrick Cantlay is a regular contender at the Heritage and the Californian has every chance of ending his trophy drought in one of his favorite tournaments.

Cantlay hasn’t won a title since the BMW Championship in August 2022, but his precision is a huge asset at Harbor Town, where he forms figures of 3-6-3-MC-2-3.

Although he never threatened when he was 22nd at the Masters, his irons looked sharp for much of the tournament and that’s a big positive considering the small size of the green complexes at the venue this week.

Cameron Davis will win and each way @ 50/1

Complete a three-way Heritage staking plan with course specialist Cameron Davis, who has come a long way at Augusta National and has the ability to once again make his presence felt on Hilton Head Island.

Australian ace Davis relished the challenge last week, threatening Scheffler’s lead in the third round before ultimately collapsing to 12th place as the pressure mounted, but he wasn’t the only one struggling when things got tough.

This week he returns to a venue where he has finished third and seventh over the past two seasons.
