talkSPORT Betting Tips – Best Football Bets and Expert Tips for Sunday, April 28

It’s a glittering Sunday in the title battles in England and Scotland with Arsenal and Manchester City in action as well as Rangers and Celtic – and all four are away.

But Sunday’s action isn’t limited to Britain with a string of big matches across Europe as the nation’s big five league season approaches its finish line.

The bet of the day

Rennes beats Brest @ 23/20

Rennes took top honors in last week’s derby in Nantes and can double the lead by beating this season’s surprise Ligue 1 package and fellow Bretons Brest at Roazhon Park.

After a difficult series of results, Rennes were excellent on Saturday, winning 3-0 at Nantes to revive their hopes of returning to Europe.

And they should fancy their chances of beating a Brest team they haven’t lost to in any of their last 14 meetings, a streak dating back to 2011.

Brest have worked miracles this season but it seems they are finally running out of steam. They have failed to win four of their last six games and all but bid farewell to the chance of finishing second last Sunday when they lost 2-0 at home to a Monaco side who finished with nine men .

Special of the day

Arsenal will win/C Romero will be booked/both teams will score bet-builder@ 11/2

Sunday’s north London derby between Tottenham and Arsenal has a lot to play for with Ange Postecoglou’s men still chasing a top four finish and Mikel Arteta’s Gunners hoping to win the Premier League title.

This means that neither team can turn back the clock – which is not the case given that both clubs’ matches average well over three goals per game.

Arsenal should win it because they are playing so well and their 5-0 defeat to Chelsea on Tuesday will have given them a lot of confidence. But don’t be surprised if Spurs, who are determined to bounce back from a 4-0 defeat at Newcastle and should be well rested after the luxury of a fortnight off, also play their part by also finding the net .

Complete a bet-builder with Cristian Romero to receive a card. It doesn’t take much to annoy the fiery Argentine defender, warned in each of these last two meetings.

Long plan of the day

Morgan Gibbs-White will score anytime @ 11/2

Manchester City’s 4-0 thrashing at Brighton on Thursday night saw Pep Guardiola’s champions overcome a potentially tricky obstacle in style as they look to retain their title. But make no mistake, injury-ravaged Brighton made moves, much to the chagrin of Mikel Arteta, and City really couldn’t miss.

However, on Sunday at Nottingham Forest, against a team fighting for survival in the Premier League, City could well face a much tougher test. It’s one they can pass – and quite possibly in style – but Forest should fight.

City have conceded goals this season and with less than three days to go since arriving at the Amex, they can once again embark with Morgan Gibbs-White, a real danger man for Forest, set to find the net. Gibbs-White has scored six times this season, including twice in his last four, and is worth adding to his tally.
