Two-time Tony Award-winning actress Sutton Foster will lead a company of Broadway artists at an upcoming concert this month. Shot live at the New York City Center, Sutton Foster: Bring Me To The Light premieres April 28 and is available for airing until May 31.
Before returning to the stage, Foster said, “With so many dark theaters in the past year, City Center’s commitment to turning on the lights and supporting artists by providing them with opportunities to return to the stage has been such a glow. hope. “
Taking over from the stage, the upcoming event will see Foster reflect on the challenges of closing theaters for a year. Even if a set list has to be announced, the songs presented are of Oklahoma !, South Pacific, Purple and The wild party.
Foster’s Broadway career includes Tony Award-winning turns Millie completely modern and All is well, as well as appearing in The sleepy chaperone and Shrek. Later this year, she will star alongside Hugh Jackman in the rebirth of The man of music at the Winter Garden Theater.
Joining Foster are Kelli O’Hara, Raúl Esparza and Joaquina Kalukango and her student Wren Rivera.
