Manchester United face Atletico Madrid in the next round of the Champions League.
The La Liga side will be without Yannick Carrasco next month after the midfielder was suspended following his red card against FC Porto.
According to Spanish publication Marca, UEFA have ruled that Carrasco will be banned for three games after grabbing Otavio by the throat and throwing him into action.
This means the Belgian will miss both games against United in the Champions League Round of 16 which is sure to be a blow for Atleti having started all of their European fixtures this season.
However, Carrasco has scored just two goals this season, with a further six assists to his name in all competitions.
United are hoping to qualify for the quarter-finals for the first time since 2019, something we’ve only achieved twice since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013.
The Reds have been in and out of the Europa League ever since.
Our only chance to win trophies this season is the Champions League and the FA Cup, but if United progress in the competition, chances are they will come up against one of the other Premier League clubs still in competition.
The Reds are unsurprisingly seen as underdogs to win the Champions League. Just like Chelsea were last season!
