The Suns failed in their attempt to add a first NBA title to the franchise’s ledger, relinquishing the 2021 NBA Finals to the Bucks in six games. But their run from the playoffs – ousted after an 8-0 bubble in a tiebreaker – to the Western Conference champions has proven to be an exciting one for their fans.
On Wednesday evening, the team posted a letter from Managing Partner Robert Sarver on social media that said:
Dear fans of the Phoenix Suns,
Thank you for your continued support this season. You’ve given us an edge on the pitch all year long. You have been strong and proud and have represented your team with respect.
We have decided to bring an NBA Championship home to the Valley, a goal you must expect every season. We’ve been a little short this year, but we know there is still work to be done.
Echoing the sentiment of Monty Williams, all we want is on the other side of the hard. What’s on the other side is incredibly rewarding, and we’ll make it happen together.
Now is the time to get back to work. This is what a championship culture looks like. I can’t wait for us all to share the feeling of a championship season.
See you soon,
