“Stranger Things” star Priah Ferguson is leading the cast of a new Netflix movie that will be your perfect Halloween spooky watch. In “The Curse of Bridge Hallow,” Ferguson stars as a teenage girl whose family moves from Brooklyn to New York City to the small town of Bridge Hallow, where everyone loves Halloween. His house is said to be haunted by Stingy Jack, which his science-loving, Halloween-hating father, played by Marlon Wayans, considers nonsense. But Stingy Jack tricks him into lighting his lantern, and all the Halloween decorations in town come to life – with deadly results. From the trailer, which was released on September 14, the film looks like the perfect blend of horror, action, and comedy.
In June, Ferguson opened up to POPSUGAR about the movie, calling it “very major.” “This character is so different from Erica,” she said of comparisons to her “Stranger Things” character. “People really see me as older in this movie, as an actual teenager, and experiencing life and also trying to build a relationship with her dad.” She added of her famous partner, Wayans, “He’s so funny. He’s so cool.”
