Eleven goes to war to battle supernatural foes in the upcoming fourth season of Stranger Things.
A new trailer for the next installment of the Netflix sensation shows Eleven – played by Millie Bobby Brown – called upon to fight after a brief reprieve as a normal teenager.
Eleven, now sporting a full head of curly hair and a flannel shirt, is seen later with a shaved head and wearing a bloodstained hospital gown.

“I moved you away from Hawkins because I thought you would be safe,” one man told Eleven. ‘A war is coming. I’m afraid your friends at Hawkins are really in the eye of the storm.
“I don’t have my powers,” said Eleven.
“I don’t know how to say this other than just to say it,” the man continues. “Without you, we cannot win this war.”
The full force of Eleven’s abilities are later shown as she throws a group of advancing men onto her back, seemingly using the power of her mind.

Next, Jim Hopper (David Harbour) is seen imprisoned in Russia wearing a bloody shirt with his hands placed behind his back.
As the men place a mask over his face, Hopper is heard saying, “I was convinced I was put here for another reason. Maybe I can still help, even if it’s the last thing I do.
Hopper is seen standing in a snowy prison yard, brandishing a weapon, before a mysterious creature leaps into the room.

“It has been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins,” reads an official description for the upcoming season according to The Hollywood Reporter. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made it any easier.
“In this most vulnerable time, a horrific new supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery which, if solved, could finally bring an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.”
The fourth season of Stranger Things will premiere on Netflix on May 27.
