Billie Eilish fans were excited when they found out that the singer and her brother, FINNEAS, were drifting karting at Blastacars at Sungei Wang Plaza a day before her concert at Bukit Jalil Stadium.

While fans had fun during the concert, they also expressed disappointment with the seating arrangement at the concert.

Those who purchased Category 2 tickets costing RM508 were disappointed to find that they were very far from the stage.

Some of them lamented that they could barely see Billie Eilish and joked that the concert organizer should have provided binoculars.

There was also a tent covering the extended stage so fans could barely spot the singer as she made her way to that part of the stage.

Due to poor eyesight, a few of them said they felt cheated for spending so much money. Netizen Azfar @azfarheri said the concert experience was like watching a football game instead.

To make matters worse, the PA system was allegedly bad and the audience could barely hear what the singer was saying.

Was it due to poor management?

Apart from the poor seating arrangement, spectators also complained about the poor organization.

A few people also fainted as they queued in the hot sun to enter the stadium and an ambulance had to be called.

We line up so many times just to check bags and tickets so many times in the same row. It’s as if security had already checked, then we were checked again after moving forward. It’s as if they didn’t know what they were doing.

For future reference, some netizens have been kind enough to provide sample photos of other well-organized concerts.

Netizens shared the different ways other concert organizers have arranged the seats and the stage for musical artists such as One Direction, Imagine Dragons and Kpop stars.

Netizen Wan Zul Effendi @wanzfnd compared the ticket price and seat distance to the stage of Imagine Dragons held at Melawati Stadium, Shah Alam.

To stir the knife in the wound, a surfer found an excerpt from Billie Eilish’s concert in Manila where the public was much closer to the singer.

It’s unfortunate that it’s been a less than ideal concert experience for many Malaysian fans.

Hopefully lessons could be learned from this experience so that improvements can be made for large-scale gigs in the future.
