Sony started teasing the new devices in the Xperia III line ahead of the April 14 launch. Recently, the brand released two teaser videos to create a buzz around these smartphones.
The first video clarifies the surrounding air, confirming the arrival of the Xperia Mark III models. However, the video itself doesn’t reveal much about these devices, nor can we see them fully. It mainly focuses on the brand’s prowess in different departments like camera, gaming, headphones, etc. Finally, it reveals the launch date with time, namely April 14, 1:00 p.m. IST, 9:30 a.m. CEST, 4:30 p.m. JST.
Well, the second video released by Sony gives us a preview of the devices to come. As far as the design goes, the smartphones look quite similar to what we saw on previous renderings. Additionally, the video gives us a detailed look at the new triple camera system, which is housed in a pill-shaped module similar to what we’ve seen on previous Xperia devices. The front can be seen with huge glasses on all sides. Also, we can see a selfie camera and an earphone on the top.
As for the specifications of the Xperia 10 III, the smartphone would come with a 6-inch AMOLED panel. The device will probably measure 154.4×68.4×8.3mm and 9.1mm where the bump is located.
According to the leaks, the Sony Xperia 10 III will ship with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 690 SoC. This is a mid-range octa-core SoC built on an 8nm manufacturing process and clocked at 2 GHz. This chipset is 5G compatible, therefore the Xperia 10 III should be 5G compatible.
In terms of optics, the device has a triple camera setup on the back consisting of a 12-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens.
The device should have a stereo speaker setup and the necessary 3.5mm jack.

Unlike the Xperia 10 III, the Xperia 1 III will be a flagship smartphone with a 6.5-inch 4K HDR OLED display with 10-bit color depth and 120Hz refresh rate.
The Xperia 1 III is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 SoC. This should be paired with 12GB / 16GB of RAM and 512GB of onboard storage.
The phone’s tri-camera system can include a 64-megapixel primary wide-angle lens, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 12-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 60x lossless zoom. The 12-megapixel periscope lens is said to come with Sony’s Cyber-Shot optimizations.
Finally, the smartphone is expected to come with a 5000mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging.
