Sony is having a bit of a problem today as the company has experienced outages within its PlayStation Network (PSN). This service is necessary to connect players to online games and content services, and sometimes it can cause disruption when parts of it break down.
Apparently, around 1:30 PM PST, these services started experiencing issues in various regions, causing users to encounter various error messages when trying to log in. Prevent certain users from accessing their games because licenses cannot be validated.
It may also affect access to other services or digital content and prevent users from purchasing and downloading new content through the PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 consoles.
You understand that the discs themselves contain virtually no content and still require PSN and Live to run in most cases, although not always online play. Network down normally means playing nothing.

At this time, Sony has not publicly announced any causes or expected time windows for these issues to be resolved. It is therefore not known how long these problems may last. But you can rest assured that Sony is probably working hard to put out any related fires.
