The next sci-fi series from Apple TV+, Black matter, with Joel Edgerton, will begin filming in Chicago next month.
Based on Blake Crouch’s best-selling novel, the series will follow Jason Dessen (Edgerton), a physicist, professor, and family man who, one night while returning home from the streets of Chicago, is kidnapped in an alternate version. of his life. Wonder quickly turns to nightmare as he attempts to return to his reality amidst the multiverse of lifetimes he could have lived. Jennifer Connelly stars alongside Edgerton as his wife, Daniela Dessen. The remaining cast is to be announced.
Dark Matter will be produced by Matt Tolmach; Edgerton is also an executive producer. The series will be written and presented by Crouch and Louis Leterrier is expected to direct the first four episodes. It will be produced for Apple TV+ by Sony Pictures Television.
Production is scheduled to begin October 17 in Chicago, Illinois and will end March 23, 2023.
