Sony Pictures Films India announced its first Tamil-language film on Saturday, which will be produced by Southern superstar Kamal Haasan.
Written and directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, the untitled film will star Sivakarthikeyan, best known for “Marina”, “Remo” and “Namma Veettu Pillai”.
The film will be supported by Haasan Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI) and R Mahendran’s banner and co-produced by God Bless Entertainment.
Haasan said he was proud to be partnered with Sony Pictures Films India for the project.

He revealed that the Sony Pictures creative team identified the story and worked on it for several months with Periaswamy.
